A huge digital screen, somewhat curved, occupies the most of the X7’s dashboard real estate. The entertainment system features a 14.9-inch touchscreen in addition to an instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch diameter. Our test vehicle, the sporty-looking M60i, reached 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, while the xDrive40i was close behind, reaching the same mark in 4.6 seconds. Every X7 has an air suspension with adjustable dampers as standard, and the chassis can be upgraded with features such active anti-roll bars to dampen body movements and rear-axle steering, which are available. The X7’s steering is precise and well-weighted, and the vehicle’s handling is surprisingly nimble for an SUV of its size.

The 2027 X7’s inline-six engine is the most fuel-efficient option. The EPA rated that xDrive40i variant at 21/25 highway/city mpg. The M60i with a V-8 engine will have you filling up more frequently due to its low fuel economy (16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway).
